Setup
- Edit a proxy link and enter the device’s MAC address in the WoL field
- Save — a Wake button appears on the proxy link row
Using Wake-on-LAN
Click the Wake button. ProxyLink sends a UDP broadcast magic packet through the WireGuard tunnel to the device’s subnet. The device powers on within a few seconds (if WoL is enabled in BIOS and the network adapter supports it).Requirements
- An active tunnel connected to the device’s network
- Wake-on-LAN enabled in the device’s BIOS
- The network adapter configured to accept WoL packets
- The device connected via Ethernet (WoL over WiFi is rarely supported)
- The site gateway must forward directed broadcasts: Linux gateways deployed since late June 2026 are configured automatically; gateways deployed before then need
sysctl -w net.ipv4.conf.all.bc_forwarding=1(persist it in/etc/sysctl.d/). Not currently supported when the tunnel terminates directly on a MikroTik router.
