Every proxy link has an access policy that controls who can reach it.

Policy types

Public

Anyone with the URL can access the link. Suitable for services you want to share openly.

VPN-only

Only clients connected to the ProxyLink VPN (authenticated users) can access the link. The proxy rejects all other requests.

IP allowlist

Only requests from specified IP addresses or CIDR ranges are allowed.

Password protected

A password prompt appears before the proxied service is accessible.

Default policy

New proxy links default to Public. Change the policy from the link’s edit page or directly from the proxy link list. VPN-only links check that the requesting IP belongs to a valid ProxyLink session. This effectively requires the user to be logged into ProxyLink to access the service — no password or IP restriction needed.
