ProxyLink includes a browser VNC terminal. For Windows PCs deployed via the ProxyLink one-liner, UltraVNC is installed automatically.

Connect via VNC

Click VNC next to any device with a VNC proxy link. The session opens in the browser.

File manager

The VNC terminal includes a built-in file manager for UltraVNC connections only (Windows PCs deployed via the ProxyLink one-liner). It is not available for other VNC servers. Access it via the folder icon in the toolbar to:
  • Browse the remote file system
  • Upload files from your local machine
  • Download files to your local machine
  • Create folders
  • Rename files and folders
  • Delete files and folders

macOS VNC (Apple Remote Desktop)

ProxyLink supports Apple Remote Desktop authentication (security type 30). When connecting to a Mac, the VNC dialog shows a username field in addition to the password.

VNC security

VNC ports are only accessible through the WireGuard tunnel — they are never exposed to the internet. The UltraVNC configuration deployed by ProxyLink disables direct VNC password authentication since access is secured by the ProxyLink login and WireGuard tunnel.
