1
Add the domain in ProxyLink
Go to Domains → + Add Domain, choose Specific subdomain or Wildcard domain, and enter your domain. Open the domain’s setup page, it shows the exact DNS records to add, including your unique verification token.
2
Add the CNAME record (routes traffic to us)
In your DNS provider, add a CNAME record pointing at the target shown on the setup page:
On Cloudflare, set this record to DNS only (grey cloud), not proxied. We terminate HTTPS for you.
3
Add the TXT record (proves you own the domain)
Add the ownership-verification TXT record shown on the setup page:(For a wildcard domain the name is
_proxylink-verify.preview.yourcompany.com.) This is required, without it the domain stays unverified.4
Verify
Back on the domain’s setup page, click Verify Now. Once your records have propagated (usually a few minutes, occasionally up to 24 hours) the domain flips to Verified.
5
Attach it to a proxy link
Create or edit a proxy link and select your domain from the Attach to domain dropdown. A wildcard domain gives each link its own
random.preview.yourcompany.com hostname; a specific subdomain backs exactly one link.HTTPS certificates
ProxyLink issues and renews the HTTPS certificate for every custom-domain link automatically, there is nothing to install or manage, and no paid Cloudflare plan is needed on your side. Issuance is quick but not instant. Right after you create a link, its card shows a certificate status:Plan limits
You can mix types on the same root domain, e.g. a specific
nas.yourcompany.com and a wildcard *.preview.yourcompany.com can both exist. Each counts as one domain against your plan limit and is verified independently.
