ProxyLink can record all SSH, RDP, and VNC sessions. Recordings are stored on the server and playable directly in the browser.
Enable recording
Edit a proxy link and toggle Session Recording on.
Viewing recordings
Go to More → Recordings. Each session shows the date, user, device, and duration. Click Play to replay the session in the browser.
Storage and retention
| Plan | Retention |
|---|
| Free | Not available |
| Developer | 14 days |
| MSP | 14 days |
Recordings are automatically deleted after the retention period.
During the current Early Access period, retention is 3 days for all plans.
| Protocol | Format |
|---|
| SSH | asciicast v2 (.cast) |
| RDP | Guacamole binary (.guac) |
| VNC | Guacamole binary (.guac) |
Both formats are playable directly in the ProxyLink browser player. SSH recordings can also be downloaded and played with any asciicast-compatible tool.
NIS2 compliance
Session recordings contribute to NIS2 Article 21 requirements for audit trails of privileged access. The audit log records who connected, when, from where, and for how long — and links directly to the session recording.
