Share devices with another company
  • Give a partner MSP, a contractor, or a client’s own IT staff access to a whole team, one client site, or a single device, without adding them to your team. Optional expiry, pending until they accept, and either side can end it.
  • Share with one named person, or with their whole company so their owner can assign the device to their own engineers under their own roles.
  • Sharing with an address that has no ProxyLink account sends a 7 day invitation instead. It is bound to that address and requires a confirmed email before it can be accepted.
  • Revoking or expiring a share disconnects sessions that are already open, not just the next connection. Every connect is re-checked against the current state of the share.
  • The other side can open the device but cannot edit it, add services, push commands, create access links for it, share it onward, or reach it over the VPN.
  • Find it under More → Sharing. See Sharing Devices With Another Company.
Warning when a new service has nothing behind it
  • Add a service to a device and, if its tunnel is connected, ProxyLink now checks whether anything actually answers at that address. If nothing does, it says so instead of leaving you with a link that silently times out. The service is still created either way.

Custom domains on your own domain, with automatic HTTPS
  • Attach a proxy link to your own domain (a specific subdomain like nas.yourcompany.com, or a wildcard like *.preview.yourcompany.com). Point a CNAME at cname.proxylink.dev plus a _proxylink-verify TXT record to prove ownership, and ProxyLink issues and renews the HTTPS certificate for you.
  • No paid Cloudflare plan required on your side, it works on any DNS provider on a free plan. Each link shows a certificate status badge (Provisioning, Secured, Cert error) while it comes online.
Automatic VNC passwords
  • The Windows deploy now sets a per-device VNC password automatically, and the browser connects with it for you - no manual step on the machine.
  • The same password secures both the browser VNC screen and the VNC file manager.
Updates no longer drop the tunnel
  • Pushed and manual Update Config now keep the device’s existing WireGuard key. The tunnel stays up through an update - you can even run a manual update from inside a ProxyLink session, no third-party remote tool needed.
  • New Re-key this device action for issuing a fresh key when you need one, and Fix WireGuard to repair a device that is offline but still checking in - it re-keys only once the Agent picks the job up, so it never strands a device.
VNC access links use the device password
  • A shared VNC access link now authenticates with the device’s own VNC password. Rotating a device’s password heals existing shares instead of breaking them, and the share form no longer asks for a VNC username.
In-session file transfer for RDP and VNC
  • Upload, download, and browse files during an RDP session with the 📁 Files button in the toolbar - no drive mapping or separate share needed.
  • Browser VNC sessions to ProxyLink-deployed Windows PCs gain a full file manager (browse, upload, download, create folders, rename, delete).
Team roles and per-device access scoping
  • Assign team members the owner, engineer (assigned client groups), or employee (assigned devices only) role, so each person only sees what they should.
  • A Full access (connect-only) toggle lets you grant a member the ability to connect to a device without exposing its configuration.
Proxy links now work with modern web apps
  • Fixed a redirect loop that affected frameworks with mandatory trailing slashes (Django, DRF), and a case where proxied form/API POSTs could fail - every proxied web app benefits automatically.
  • New “Preserve original domain” toggle per link: keep appliance mode (default, for device web UIs like Synology/UniFi/pfSense) or switch to app mode for modern web apps whose API calls check the public domain.
Per-VLAN isolation for overlapping VLANs
  • On gateways running the management agent (MikroTik and Linux), every VLAN - the primary LAN and each additional VLAN - now gets its own unique assigned range and is NETMAP-isolated. Two clients that share an additional VLAN subnet (not just the primary) stay fully distinct, with no renumbering on either site.
