Android WireGuard Setup Guide
The Android WireGuard app can import a tunnel by scanning a QR code — no file transfer or USB needed. The QR code is generated directly on your tunnel page.
Install the WireGuard app
Install WireGuard from the Google Play Store.
Create and activate a tunnel in ProxyLink
Go to Devices → + Add → Router / LAN site, select Public Server / Device, and save. On the tunnel page, choose 📱 Android / iOS from the platform picker, then click Activate Tunnel. A QR code appears on the page.
Scan the QR code
In the WireGuard app, tap + → Scan from QR code. Point your phone at the QR code on your screen. The tunnel imports instantly — give it a name when prompted.
Enable the tunnel
Toggle the tunnel on in the app. Android will ask to set up a VPN profile — tap OK. Your phone is now on the ProxyLink VPN.
Create a proxy link
In ProxyLink, create a proxy link using your phone's VPN IP and whatever port you want to expose — useful for sharing your phone's local web server, camera, etc.
Good to know
What you get once the tunnel is up
- Browser RDP, VNC, and SSH — open a terminal or remote desktop to any device behind the tunnel straight from the ProxyLink dashboard. No client software, no open ports on your side.
- Proxy links — share an HTTPS URL that forwards to any internal web interface (NAS, NVR cameras, PBX admin panels, router UIs) with ProxyLink login in front of it.
- No public exposure — the device keeps zero open ports and needs no static IP. The tunnel is outbound-only WireGuard to EU-hosted infrastructure. Read more about agentless remote access and NIS2 compliance.
