Did you call your IT provider yourself?

If someone called you - saying they are from Microsoft, your bank, or that your computer has a virus - and told you to come to this page, stop and close this window. That is a scam, and this tool would give them control of your computer.

Only continue if you contacted your own IT company, on a number you already had, and they are expecting you.

How it works

    Download and run the tool

    It does not install itself. You just run the file.

    Type the code your technician gave you

    A short code, valid once, for one session only.

    Close the window when you are done

    That ends the session and removes everything the tool set up.

What it does to your computer

While the session is open

  • Your technician can see your screen
  • The connection is private to them — not open to the internet
  • You can see it running, and end it whenever you like

When you close it

  • The connection is removed
  • Screen sharing is removed, or put back exactly as it was
  • No account is created, and nothing of ours starts up again

One thing does stay. The private connection uses WireGuard, free open-source software published by WireGuard LLC. If your computer does not already have it, the tool installs it and leaves it there. On its own it does nothing once the session's connection is removed, and you can remove it yourself from Add or remove programs like any other program. Everything else the tool sets up is undone when you close the window.

The tool is open source, on purpose — it runs with administrator rights on your machine, so anyone can read every line of what it does. It is digitally signed by Filippos Iliadis, ProxyLink's developer, and Windows will show you that name before it runs.

If Windows shows a blue warning

You may see “Windows protected your PC”. That appears on newly published programs until enough people have downloaded them — it is not a virus warning, and it will stop appearing as this tool becomes more widely used.

Click More info. If the publisher reads Open Source Developer Filippos Iliadis, this is the genuine tool and you can choose Run anyway. If it says anything else, close it and tell your technician.
